"CIPET JEE 2021 will be conducted at the national level via computer-Based online mode. Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology Joint Entrance Exam 2021 will be conducted by the Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology to grant admission to various degree courses. Moreover, Candidates can also apply for degree courses in B.E./B.Tech, M.E./MTech and MSc in various affiliated institutions. This comes under the Department of Chemical and Petrochemicals. Ministry associated with it is the ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. The main objective of setting up of the institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country. International Labour Organization (ILO) served as the executing agency. During the initial project period between 1968 and 1973, the institute achieved the targets envisaged and was rated as one of the most successful UNDP projects implemented worldwide. Today CIPET is a premier national institution under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India fully devoted to Skill Development, Technology Support Services, Academic and Research (STAR) in all the domains of plastics viz:- Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Plastics processing, Testing and Quality Assurance.
