Eligibility :

  • "Eligibility for CLAT UG Programme: Age Limit: There will be no upper age limit for any UG program offered in CLAT 2021. Educational Qualification: Candidate should qualify the class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board/university. Percentage: 45% marks in case of the candidate belong to unreserved/OBC/specially-abled person (SAP) and other categories and 40% marks in case of the candidate belong to SC/ST category. Appearing candidates: Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying exam in March/April 2021 are also eligible for appearing in CLAT 2021 online examination. They shall be required to produce a proof of the passing of their qualifying examination at the time of admission
  • failing which their candidature shall be cancelled. Eligibility for CLAT PG Programme: Age limit: No upper age limit would be there for candidates appearing for CLAT 2021. Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks in case if the candidate belongs to the unreserved category/OBC and other categories. 45% marks in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST in their LLB or any other equivalent exam. Appearing Candidates: The candidate must be passed/appeared in the final semester or final year of the qualifying examination on the date of his/her admission. For Three-year LLB entrance exams: There is no upper age limit for admission. However
  • a candidate must be at least 17 years of age on the date of application. A graduation degree with 45% marks (40% for reserved category) is the basic qualification required. Universities like DU and BHU require a minimum 50% marks while universities like Kurukshetra

  • Meerut require only 45% marks in graduation. For Five-year LLB entrance exams: Any student who has passed Class 12 with 50% marks (less 5 % for reserved categories) or has appeared for the Class 12 is eligible to write CLAT. A candidate was needed to be below 20 years of age as on July 1 to be eligible for CLAT

  • the criteria have now been scrapped after a Supreme Court's order in 2015.  As per the recent directive by Bar Council of India
  • an applicant who has passed 10+2 or has a graduation degree through distance learning or correspondence mode will also be considered eligible for admission for the integrated five-year or three year LLB course."
